When It Rains...

It pours, literally and in a manner of speaking! Today was a pretty rainy and yucky day...After working last night and getting only 3 or so hours of sleep I had to get ready for my long awaited ob visit! Let's say it would've been a good visit had the following not occurred. I had to bring Logan with me and at this visit (my second mind you) I was told that the office had a policy about kids under 12 coming in. I was taken back by this but then they told for vag exams only. Okay I get that. I can live with that. A few minutes later I was told that Logan had to be restrained, that he couldn't bang on the door or the walls. Ok. (I'm already tired, hormonal, and ticking).  So I restrain my son by having him sit on my lap and what does any strong-willed child do? Scream and cry for freedom. They later asked me if I could quiet him down..Really? Really?! How would they like me to do that? I was asked if I could take him outside! Um, no. It's raining and cold and I'm here for an appointment. Thankfully Chris was on his way but he didn't make it there in enough time to save myself and the office from a complete. utter. meltdown. I cried and then yelled and told them I wanted a new doctor. I later composed myself and continued my appointment but I believe I will be looking for a new ob/gyn. In my entire life of going to doctors and working in doctor's offices I've never heard nor asked a patient to quiet and/or restrain their child. EVER!

Oh, how I missed Logan's ob dr. just then! I would've given anything to have my laid back, very tardy, doctor back! I would wait in his office for four hours for my 9 AM appointment if only I could go back to NJ and have him again! The one good thing about this visit is that I lost 6 pounds!! 6!!! The other good thing about today's appointment was better when I was told I could go for my ultrasound, which, at that point I hadn't cared much for going to because I was upset, exhausted, and just wanted to crawl into my bed again. The ultrasound wait wasn't long and even though Logan was loud and obnoxious no one asked him to be quiet.  We went into the most amazing ultrasound room I've ever been in and this is what I saw on the screen:

It made everything ok, watching him/her moving around like crazy and seeing all it's parts where they needed to be! And of course I asked if there was just one baby! Yes, there's only ONE! Haha!

I don't know which OB office you go to, but mine is fabulous. It's OBGYN Specialists on Poplar and they are fabulous! I've been going there for years and the same doctor has delivered both of my children. They know us and treat us like family. Just an FYI!

OMG!!!! You were MUCH nicer than I would have been!! That's insane!! Where are you going??

I've been going to mine for over 10 years. I see Dr. Thomas Greenwell at Mid-South OBGYN, Humphreys location. Love them!! And I've taken my insane kids with me every time!

Thanks for the advice girls =) I'm also looking into MOGA, as well. They deliver at the hospital that I work at which is apparently cheaper for me bc my insurance will waive lots of fees. They also don't have a "No kids making noise" policy!
