Backyard Critters.

The pros to having a garden is growing food to eat and having the satisfaction that you grew it!

The cons of having a garden: BUGS! Critters, creatures, creepy crawlies! Whatever you call them they're still cons, unless, they're helping your garden grow. Here are some of the ones we've found. I warn: they may make you cringe!

Tomato Hornworm. They apparently kill tomato plants, so, since we've found them Chris and I go out there everyday and check our plants. So not cool of them and makes growing our tomatoes and peppers a little more tedious!

From my Google searches this is a Wasp Spider! I could be absolutely wrong but all the pictures I found look like mine so I'm going with it!

A toad? Frog? Bullfrog? Who knows but I know my dog couldn't help but swat at it with her paw, in a playful way. Don't worry I made Chris put it back before dog or child could do it damage! 

And here's another week or two worth of growth! I can't wait to pluck off all my green tomatoes, and the peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, and watermelons!!

Summer Rut!

I'm in a summer blogging rut! Today is no different, however, it's been a while, and I didn't want to end the month with only 4 posts!

I'll be spending the day playing the role of Cinderella minus the fairy godmother and the ball! It's a rainy morning so it's the perfect day! I hope to be back with a post on something later =) Hope you all have a happy Tuesday! xo

I finished my first book on the Nook.

Can I just tell you how much I L-O-V-E Sonic's cherry limeades?! They're sooo refreshing especially on hot days like today! They have my two favorite flavors: Cherry & Lime and they also give you a lime and a cherry in the drink! YUMMMERS! Chris and I went tonight after a trip to Best Buy and Bed Bath and Beyond. The air was sticky and this was the perfect treat...Chris got the Cherry Limeade Chiller which is the same but with ice cream. Good but not as good as this!

Another milestone.

After 14 months and mini clips here and there Logan had is official first haircut today at Sweet and Sassy. Yes, Sweet and Sassy is geared more towards girls but they do baby's first haircuts (boys & girls) so we went with them. He was NOT happy about it at alll! He squirmed, whined, tried to get out of the chair, tried to push the stylist hands away, until I gave him food. I gave him little Gerber cheese puffs and even though it calmed him down by 90% he was still squirming and trying to push her away. Ahhh. In the end, though, we got the results we've been waiting for! We also left with a balloon, lollipop, a certificate, picture, and a little bag with a locket of hair. I think if he wasn't so squirmy I would've cried. We went and got some ice cream to "celebrate" Logan's milestone!

It was so hot out today that we decided to use our pool pass and dip into the pool for the first time this season! Oh my goodness! It was so refreshing, and even though it wasn't cold, it wasn't hot either so it felt good! Logan loved it. We put him in his plane tube and he was loving it, at first. I made the mistake of taking him out and letting him swim with us and then that's all he wanted to do! Ha! A great way to end or start the week, however you look at it!

Unofficial start of Summer

I love Gerbera Daisies. I love their boldness in color, I love their size, and I love when they're in my house. It reminds me of summer and so does this picture. With that said I wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend.
