Oh, darling...

"Oh, darling, don't you ever grow up, don't you ever grow up

Just stay this little"

--Taylor Swift (Never Grow Up)

2 Years Old
This past Tuesday my little boy turned two!
It breaks my heart to see him growing up so quickly!
I wish he was a newborn again!

I threw a mini Toy Story party for Logan. Toy Story is Logan's newest "obsession"! We wanted to go home for his birthday but with the new house and our jobs it wasn't going to happen. My mom and sister came out for his birthday too! He was super excited when they got here! I made his favorite dinner of homemade mac-n-cheese and it was followed up by chocolate cupcakes! We then opened his presents, which happened to be ALOT easier than unwrapping Christmas presents.

Birthday pancakes!

"You got a friend in me"

Holy whiteness, Batman! Ha!
Logan's birthday "cake"
There were pictures of present time but I never uploaded them! Oops!
I know he probably won't remember his 2nd birthday but I know he had an awesome birthday! I mean, seriously, with a Toy Story theme, what boy wouldn't?!

Weekend Recap!

We've had a busy week since Thursday!

It started with Starry Nights at Shelby Farms Park on Thursday!
Their light show is soo cute!
If you live in the area I definitely recommend seeing it
if you've never been.

Friday was my 26th Birthday! Woo!
We had dinner at Coletta's, wish was good.
Then came home to have cupcakes from Gigi's Cupcakes.
They aren't Magnolia Bakery's cupcakes but they
were delish!
(I love me some cupcakes!)
Logan enjoying his cupcake!
Is it weird that I asked for a food processor?
I can't wait to use it!!

Saturday Logan had his pictures taken
At 8:20 in the AM! Yes early in the morning!
And he did wonderfully
Here's my favorite and this year's Xmas card.
After that we did some Christmas shopping.

Sunday (12-5) was a milestone day for Chris and I!
We made our first offer to buy our first house!
This is the one we've picked to hopefully,
if all goes well, call home. We're keeping our fingers crossed.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.
I've got some blog reading to catch
up on once we've done lunch and naps ♥

Birthday {Fun}

So Chris' birthday was today and I wanted to make it extra special esp. since it's his first birthday away from his family. All week I asked him what he wanted and every time I got an answer that was frustratingly not an answer. All I got was Devil's Food Cake. So I made him a Devil's Food cake with chocolate icing on the outside, with sprinkles, and firefighter candles!
And on the inside there was vanilla icing! Chris called it a giant Devil Dog.

For dinner I made Chris pork fajitas. They smelled delicious and tasted even more delicious! I've linked the web address for the recipe. Just a note: Instead of 3 tbsp of seasoning I used a whole packet!

These are my favorite pictures from tonight.
Logan's hair is crazy!!
A mini-book I scrapped for Chris. I'll post the whole thing later.
His face is priceless! I love this man!
My chocolate mess baby! I love it!
I succeeded at a small intimate birthday for my love. He had balloons, yummy food, cake, pistachio pudding, and thoughtful gifts! At the end of the day all that matters is that he's happy and I succeeded in doing that!

Happy Birthday Logan!!

My baby boy is an official 1 year old toddler now. I cried this morning because I don't want him to grow up but I know it's inevitable. I felt like his first year went by so fast I wish I could go back to everyday and do it all over again.  He has brought so much love and happiness into my life, as well as, his family. It's unbelievable that one year has come and gone.  This was Logan one year ago on this day:

Yesterday we had his birthday party with friends and family. It was so much fun but my poor baby had NOT slept at ALLLL!!! Let's talk about CRANKY!! He was so tired that when the party was done, the car was packed and Logan was safely in his car seat, the second we moved the car he was OUT!!! He was DUNZO!!

We did a firetruck/man themed birthday, which was appropriate for where we held it. I wanted to wait until he was older but with us moving away I didn't know if I'd get the opportunity to have his family there to celebrate with him. Our friend, Kelly, took her Saturday and helped us by making his fire truck cake which came out AMAZING!!! I didn't want to cut into it!  We also had cupcakes and Funfetti cookie lollipops, as favors, that were personalized with each child's name (no pics on those =(  The cookie lollipops were stuck on to a styrofoam circle and put in a Shamrock pail (completely unrelated to the theme but close to Logan's birthday and St. Patrick's Day was his original due date). I helped Logan's Aunt Tierney make the cupcakes and lollipops.

Here's Logan enjoying his birthday cake and really not getting messy lol!

I love the cupcake his Grandma made for his birthday party. Initially it was for him but she decided to use it for everyone's party and just replace the sign! Gotta love his Grandma. Here's what the cupcake looked like:

It was a good day, unfortunately, I didn't get to take pictures with my little man yesterday, because so much was going on but I will get one in today! I love you Logan! You are Mommy and Daddy's pride and joy! We're so happy and honored to be your parents! Thank you for the lessons you've given to us, the challenges you've brought on, the unconditional love, the laughter, the tears, and the milestones, because they've made us better and stronger parents. We thank God for entrusting us with you! You are the best gift I could've ever been given. Happy Birthday Boo-Boo ♥
